Lindenberg Stage V Generator Sets Delivered for Electrically Powered Push Boat ‘Donau 1’, Built by Kooiman Marine Group

AMW-Marine has delivered four Lindenberg generator sets for the electrically powered push boat Donau 1 – hull number 223 from Kooiman Marine Group, commissioned by VERBUND Hydro Power.

The Donau 1 is designed for pushing split barges and also functions as an icebreaker on the Danube. With an eye on the future, the push boat’s propulsion system has been built modularly and is prepared for conversion to hydrogen propulsion.

Our generator sets are equipped with a ScanDiesel GmbH STAGE-V D16 engine and a Nidec Leroy-Somer LSAM47.3M8 generator. Fully ready for sustainable performance.

The trial run was successfully completed, and the official handover to the customer will take place this coming Friday.
